Before you create a document, you will want to become familiar with the different types of folders within eContracts.
When you first log in, your Main homepage of Active and U/C Clients will be blank until you create your first Parent Contract. This Main homepage will be your list of clients with active transactions. This is not the same as your Clients Database.
In Clients Database you have all your clients, family members, prospects, etc. Some may have a contract(s), and some may not.
On the right side of the screen, you will see the Main Dashboard. All options/links on the Main Dashboard manage your digital filing cabinet with all your clients. Whenever you login, this dashboard is available to you. At the top of the homepage is a navigation area which will allow you to search for transactions and start a new contract/transaction folder.
You can create a digital folder for a Detailed Transaction by clicking on the link CREATE NEW CONTRACT located at the upper right of the navigation area on your Main homepage. You will then select a PARENT CONTRACT, open it and fill in the Client Name and Property Address. These two pieces of information label the digital folder for your Detailed Transaction.
Once you have created a PARENT CONTRACT you will then be in a Detailed Transaction folder. The right-hand side or Detailed Dashboard will provide you all the resources to help you navigate, document and meet your clients' expectations throughout this transaction.
One important link is Docs Management, which stores additional documents for your Detailed Transaction. These documents can be PDF Files, Xcel Spreadsheets, jpeg files, Word Documents, etc. They are the supplemental documents for your electronic contracts.
You may also have PDF Files of electronic documents that have been shared by another eContracts agent or PDF Files of electronic documents that have been wet signed.
NOTE: Any electronic contracts that are created without a PARENT CONTRACT will be found and stored in MISCELLANEOUS CONTRACTS. Any supplemental documents not associated with a Detailed Transaction can be uploaded into Miscellaneous Docs Management found on the Main Dashboard.
