Custom Deadlines are Action Items that you may want to track during your transaction and these to-do items can be set with a deadline date - which you can set up to receive an email reminder and/or add each deadline to the calendar that you look at every day.
Found on every Detailed Dashboard within a particular transaction, click on Custom Deadlines. A new window will open, and you will be able to click on the orange link Add My Custom Deadlines. When you click on this link you can select specific custom deadlines or Select All to add custom deadlines to your transaction.
Any boxes you have checked in the Custom Deadlines Master Settings under Utilities - Personal Settings requesting reminders and notifications will transfer to this detailed transaction. These settings include whether you want a custom deadline to appear on the eCalendar emailed to participants, if you wish an email reminder prior to the deadline and an email reminder on the due date. You may further adjust these settings within this transaction.
Don`t forget to scroll down and click the SAVE button.
You can also add a note for a particular custom deadline by clicking on the icon of the white piece of paper with the yellow pencil located in the # column to the left of the custom Deadline Name.
You can add a new custom deadline just for this transaction by clicking on the orange link in the upper left Create New Custom Deadline. Type the custom deadline name and click save. Indicate if you would like to receive an email notification, etc.
Remember: This new Custom Deadline is for this particular transaction only.
You can create a set of Master Custom Deadlines in your account, which you can individually add to any one of your active transactions.
You can have up to 44 custom deadlines. For each Custom Deadline, you will need to select the deadline date from the calendar icon, and you will need to check the box under Status when it is "Done".
